Marilyn Jean Lippincott-Phillips, 80, of Aliquippa, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, in McGhee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born Jan. 7, 1937, in East Rochester to Harry and Luree (Yoder) Lippincott. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1955. She worked for the airline industry from 1958 to 1991 where she worked for Northeast, Braniff and Eastern Airlines. After retirement, she became an "architectural designer" and builder.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Frank J. Phillips, whom she married Jun 2, 1970; sister, Lana (Dale) Lowmiller of Minerva; brother, Roger Lippincott of Louisville; best friend, Mary Capozzoli of Pittsburgh; and she delighted in her many nieces and nephews and in many ways, treated them as her own. She is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Lippincott.
Funeral services were held Aug. 15 in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva, with the Rev. Chet Howes officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
