The Aultman Hospice program is seeking volunteers to provide companionship and support to hospice patients and families.
Volunteers are an invaluable part of the hospice team and make it possible for caregivers to take a break from their 24-hour caregiving responsibilities in the home setting. Volunteers also provide companionship and support to patients receiving care in extended care facilities and at the Compassionate Care Center.
The training sessions will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, May 14, 16, 21 and 23, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and are required to attend a total of four training sessions.
Anyone interested in making a difference in the lives of others may contact Becky Shafer, Aultman Hospice and Compassionate Care Center volunteer coordinator, at 330-479-7450 or e-mail email@example.com.
