The Minerva High School Class of 1967 held its 50th reunion Aug. 11-13 in and around Minerva.
On Aug. 11, Classmates enjoyed a round of golf at Edgewater, a tough of Minerva High School and the new athletic complex, and attended an informal party at the Normandy Inn.
A day later, 108 people, including 73 classmates, attended the reunion dinner at Edgewater. It was a night of fine food, dancing to tunes from the 1960s, and catching up with the classmates.
The festive weekend was topped off Sunday when a brunch was held at Kishman's Barn, hosted by Tom and Jan Kishman.
The three-day event was planned by the Class of 1967 Reunion Committee, headed by Cathy Severn Ostarchvic and Barbara Phillips-Calabretta, with eight other classmates serving on the committee.
The Class of 1967 was the last class to graduate from the old high-school building on Market Street. The building went on to become Hazen Middle School. It was torn down in 2006.
A good time was had by all during the weekend celebrations.
