Employment prep program offered at OhioMeansJobs

Carroll County Family and Children First Council's GED preparation classes and tutoring services (also known as the Employment Preparation Program) are being offered at OhioMeansJobs Carroll County, the County's Jobs Center for employment and training services.

Travis Weyand, program instructor, will provide one-on- one tutoring services to those students enrolled in the program that want to obtain their GED, or those who need to upgrade their skills. Weyand, a certified teacher through the Ohio Department of Education, will also tutor individuals who are enrolled in formal training or educational programs who need a little extra help with their studies. Instruction is self-paced and based upon a plan developed for each individual.

These free classes are held at OhioMeansJobs Carroll County (55 East Main Street (rear), Carrollton) weekdays from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eligibility is required; for an application, contact Mr. Weyand at 330- 476-5968 or stop by the OhioMeansJobs building.

Funding for the program is being made available through the Carroll County Department of Job and Family Services.
