Minerva Police Report

On Aug. 10, 7:21 a.m. police received a report for a disorderly male at a business on E. Lincolnway. Anthony Hawthorne, Minerva, was charged with disorderly conduct. Information was obtained for a report and Hawthorne is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On Aug. 13, 11:26 p.m. police received a report for a narcotics investigation from a residence on W. High St. Mason Wells, Alliance, was arrested for felony corrupting another with drugs. Information was obtained for a report. Wells was transported to Stark County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

On Aug. 14, 3:20 p.m. police received a report for vandalism to a vehicle at a residence on W. Line St. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 17, 4:03 p.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute from a residence on McDaniel Ave. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 19, 12:13 p.m. police attempted to stop a vehicle on Alliance Rd. Michael Hoopingarner, Massillon, was arrested for felony escape, felony failure to comply, resisting arrest, driving under suspension, failure to reinstate and seat belt (driver).

Information was obtained for a report. Hoopingarner was transported to Carroll County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On Aug. 19, 1:28 p.m. police received a report for a theft from a business on High St. Nicole Kinsley, Minerva, was charged with theft.

Information was obtained for a report and Kinsley is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On Aug. 20, 12:53 p.m. police received a report for a theft from the concession stand from the Minerva High School. After a brief investigation suspects were identified. Suspects were juveniles that are enrolled at the high school. Information was obtained for a report and Minerva High School will handle discipline.

On Aug. 21, 9:25 a.m. police received a report for criminal mischief from a business located on W. Lincolnway. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 21, 9:46 a.m. police received a report for a nuisance complaint from a residence on W. Lincolnway. Anthony Hawthorne, Minerva, was charged with grass and weed cutting required.

Information was obtained for a report and Hawthorne is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On Aug. 22, 7:13 p.m. police received a report for found property of a black cell phone located a Bicentennial Park. Information was obtained for a report. The property will be held at the Minerva Police Department to be claimed by the owner.

On Aug. 23, 2:19 a.m. police assisted Carrollton Police Department and Carroll County Sheriff's Office with attempting to stop a vehicle which entered in the village. Charles Stout, Canton, was arrested for speed, driving under suspension, willful/wanton disregard for safety on highway, traffic control device, marked lanes and reasonable control. Information was obtained for a report. Stout was taken into custody by Carrollton Police Department and transported to Carroll County Jail. Stout is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On Aug. 23, 5:05 p.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute for a residence on Murray Ave. Jacob Morgan, Minerva, was charged with disorderly conduct. Ronald Morgan, Minerva, was charged with disorderly conduct. Information was obtained for a report. Jacob Morgan and Ronald Morgan are scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On Aug. 24, 7:43 p.m. police received a report for threats from a residence on Thomas St. Information was obtained for a report.

Accidents

On Aug. 2, 4:30 p.m. a vehicle operated by Dylan Drews, Minerva, was struck by a hit/skip semi on the corner of Mckinley St. and S. Main St.

No Injuries and light damage reported.

On Aug. 9, 3:51 p.m. a vehicle owned by Nichole Knight, New Philadelphia, was struck by a hit/skip vehicle on N. Market St. No injuries and light damage reported.

On Aug. 14, 9:29 p.m. a vehicle operated by Brenda Haught, Minerva, struck a vehicle owned by Robert Ossler, Minerva, on E. Line St. No injuries and light damage reported. Haught was cited for failure to control and is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On Aug. 19 12:08 p.m. a vehicle operated by Sheryl Duncan, Minerva, struck a vehicle operated by Harriet Weese, Homeworth, on the corner of Union Ave. SE and E. Lincolnway.

No injuries and light damage reported. Duncan was cited for assured clear distance and is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.
